Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services (the “Services”), including the purchase of a personalised song, lyrics, audio files, and related deliverables (the “Song”). By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1) Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live) to place an order.

2) What we provide

StoryToSong creates a personalised Song based on the information you submit through our questionnaire and any messages you send to us. Deliverables may include:

• a recorded audio file (e.g., MP3)
• lyrics text
• a private song page or delivery link (where applicable)

3) Your responsibilities (accuracy and permissions)

You agree that the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you provide (for example, personal stories, names, or other material) and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate any law.

Do not submit sensitive personal information you do not want included in the Song.

4) Orders and payment

Prices are shown on the website at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your order is confirmed when payment is successfully completed and you receive an order confirmation email.

5) Delivery timelines

We offer the following delivery options (counted from lyric approval and successful payment, unless we state otherwise on the checkout page):

• Express (24 hours)
• Rush (2 days)
• Priority (5 days)
• Standard (7 days)

Delivery times are estimates and depend on:

• the completeness of the information you submit, and
• your responsiveness during lyric approval (if applicable).

If we expect a material delay, we will contact you by email.

6) Revisions policy

If you’re not happy with your first lyric draft, we will revise it. We include up to two (2) rounds of lyric revisions per order, provided the requested changes are consistent with the original brief.

A “revision” includes reasonable edits such as wording changes, tone adjustments, changing a few lines, or rewriting a section. Revisions do not include creating a completely new song brief (for example, changing the recipient, occasion, or the core story), or repeated rewrites that substantially change the original request.

If you want a new direction after using the included revisions, we may offer an additional paid rewrite option, or you may place a new order.

To request a revision, reply to your order email and describe what you would like changed.

7) Cancellations and refunds

Because each Song is personalised and created to your specifications, refunds may be limited once work has started.

• Before work begins: If you contact us promptly after purchase, we will make reasonable efforts to cancel. If work has not started, we may issue a refund.
• After work begins / after delivery: We may offer revisions under Section 6 rather than refunds, except where required by law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

8) Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to request content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or otherwise harmful, or that infringes intellectual property rights.

We may refuse orders or remove content that violates these Terms.

9) Ownership and permitted use

Upon full payment, you receive a personal licence to use and share your purchased Song for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may:

• share the Song privately with friends/family
• post it on personal social media accounts (unless it contains third-party copyrighted material you do not have rights to)

You may not:

• sell, resell, or commercially exploit the Song (e.g., advertising, brand campaigns, paid distribution) without written permission from us
• claim authorship of any underlying production tools or templates

10) Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, email delivery services, hosting). We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by these providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to restore service.

11) Disclaimers

We provide the Services on an “as is” basis. While we aim for high quality, we do not guarantee that every Song will match every subjective preference.

12) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of profits, loss of business).
• Our total liability for any claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other non-excludable liability).

13) Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. The effective date will be updated. Changes will not apply retroactively to completed purchases.

14) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts located in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law provides otherwise.
